About Link House
Link House is a nursing home in Merton, south London. We care for older people who need qualified nursing alongside help with daily life, including residents living with dementia, and we also care for some younger adults with complex health needs. Having nurses on duty at every hour means we can manage wound and pressure care, continence and catheter needs, diabetes, pain relief and end of life care, working closely with GPs, district nurses and hospital teams. It also means somebody whose health declines can usually stay here, among familiar faces and their own belongings, rather than being moved at the hardest possible moment. The nursing is only half of the job. The rest is meals people look forward to, company when it is wanted, quiet when it is not, and staff who know how a particular person likes things done. Dementia care especially depends on that familiarity, and on giving people time to find their words. Respite stays are available, including nursing support after a hospital discharge. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Being in London, we are easy for families to reach and we keep visiting flexible.
