About Byron Lodge Care Home
Here at Byron Lodge Care Home, we are proud to be a trusted nursing home in the heart of Gillingham, Medway, offering a warm and genuine place where residents feel truly at home. We care for a range of people with different needs, including older adults, those living with dementia, and younger adults who require nursing level support. Our team works closely with residents, families and healthcare professionals to make sure each person receives care that fits them as an individual, not a routine that fits us. Our most recent Care Quality Commission rating is "Good", which reflects the consistent effort our staff put in every single day. We do not take that lightly. It tells us that the people in our care are being looked after well, that families can trust us, and that we are getting the important things right. Dementia care is a particular area where we invest real thought and attention. We understand how unsettling it can be for someone living with dementia to feel out of place or confused, so we try hard to create an environment that feels calm, familiar and reassuring. The same applies to our nursing care more broadly. We work to make sure clinical needs are met without the home ever feeling clinical. For younger adults who find themselves needing nursing home care, we recognise this comes with its own set of challenges. We try to be mindful of that and to offer support that respects where each person is in their life. Families are always welcome here. We believe good care happens in partnership, and we would rather have an open conversation with you than have you ever feel uncertain about your loved one's wellbeing. If you would like to find out more or come and visit us, please do get in touch. We would be glad to hear from you.
