About Doulton Court Lodge Care Home
We are a nursing home in Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire, caring for older people and for younger adults who need nursing support. That includes people living with dementia, people with mental health needs and people with physical disabilities. We also take respite bookings where a period of nursing care is what is needed rather than a permanent move. Having qualified nurses here at all hours means that when somebody's health is complicated or liable to change, it can be managed without them having to move again or spend their life going back and forth to hospital. That is one of the main reasons families come to us. But the nursing is the background to the day rather than the whole of it, and what people notice when they visit is whether staff are kind, whether anyone has time to sit down for a few minutes and whether their relative seems settled. Supporting people with mental health needs alongside older residents takes thought, and we plan carefully so that everybody here has what they need rather than a compromise. We talk to the person, to their family and to the professionals already involved, and we keep talking as things develop. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Families are welcome and we would always rather you came and formed your own view. Please contact us and we will arrange a visit.
