About Cathedral Care Centre
Cathedral Care Centre is a nursing home in Lincoln. As a nursing home we can look after people whose health needs are more complex than a residential setting can safely manage, with qualified nurses on duty alongside our care staff so that clinical and everyday care are held together by one team. Most of our residents are older adults who need both medical attention and help with washing, dressing, eating and moving about. We manage medication, nutrition, skin care, pain and comfort, and we keep in close contact with GPs and community health teams so that nothing is left to chance. We also care for younger adults with nursing needs, whose days are planned around their own interests rather than a single house routine. Dementia care matters a great deal here, and what makes it go well is familiar staff, a steady routine and time taken to learn what reassures each individual. Respite stays are available for families needing a planned break. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We would rather put that in front of you ourselves than leave you to come across it. The areas identified are where our effort is going, and we are willing to talk them through honestly with any family considering us. Please visit and judge what you find.
