About Fieldhead Court
At Fieldhead Court, we provide nursing home care for people in Dewsbury and the wider Kirklees area. We support older adults, younger adults living with physical disabilities, and people with dementia, and we take that range of experience seriously. It means our team understands that no two residents arrive with the same history, the same needs, or the same expectations of what home should feel like. Nursing care sits at the heart of what we do. Our registered nurses are present around the clock, working alongside care staff to make sure that clinical needs are met without the environment ever feeling clinical. We want Fieldhead Court to feel like somewhere people genuinely live, not simply somewhere they are looked after. For those living with dementia, we put a great deal of thought into how the environment, the routines, and the relationships around a person can either add to their anxiety or reduce it. We aim firmly for the latter. Familiarity, calm and continuity matter enormously, and we work hard to build those things for each resident. We also offer respite care for people who need a short stay, whether that is to recover after a hospital admission or to give a family carer some time to rest. We try to make those shorter stays just as settled and comfortable as a permanent placement, because the length of a stay does not change how much it matters to the person going through it. Our most recent Care Quality Commission rating is good, and we are pleased with that, though we treat it as a checkpoint rather than a destination. We are always looking at where we can do better and listening to residents and their families when they tell us what is and is not working. If you would like to find out more or arrange a visit, we would be very glad to hear from you.
