About Hyllden Heights Care Home
Set in Tonbridge, Hyllden Heights Care Home provides nursing care for adults who need skilled support with their health as well as help with everyday life. Registered nurses work here around the clock, so conditions that need regular monitoring, wound care, support with continence, assistance with mobility or careful management of medication can all be looked after here rather than requiring repeated trips to hospital. Among the people living with us are older adults, those with dementia and people with physical disabilities, including younger adults. We take time at the start to learn how each person prefers their day to run, and we write that down and follow it. Someone who has risen at six every morning of their working life should not have to wait for a rota to catch up with them. Food matters a great deal, so we offer choices at every meal and will happily make something different for a person who fancies it. Our activities follow what people actually enjoy rather than a fixed timetable, which in practice means a mixture of music, gardening, quizzes, gentle exercise and simply sitting and talking. We keep families closely involved. Relatives know our nurses by name and can ring at any hour for an update. If you are considering a move for yourself or someone you love, come and see us, meet the team on shift and judge for yourself. We would rather you asked every difficult question now than wondered later.
