About St Michael's Nursing Home

St Michael's Nursing Home is a nursing home in Margate, Kent, caring for older people whose needs require qualified nursing alongside support with daily life. Registered nurses work with our care team, which means we can look after people with health conditions that need regular clinical attention, support those recovering after illness or a hospital stay, and continue caring for someone as their needs increase rather than asking them to move somewhere new. We also support adults who have a learning disability or who are autistic, taking time to understand how each person communicates and what helps them feel settled. Many of the people living with us have dementia. We keep the days calm and predictable, give people time to respond and ask relatives to tell us about the person's life so that staff have something real to talk about. Respite stays are available for people who need nursing care for a short period, whether to give a family carer a planned break or to help somebody regain strength before going home. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good, which reflects the steady work our team does day after day. If you are considering nursing care in the Margate area, you would be welcome to visit. Ring us, arrange a time and we will show you round properly and answer whatever you want to ask.
