About Waverley Lodge Nursing Home
Waverley Lodge Nursing Home is in Romsey. We care for older people who need qualified nursing alongside help with everyday living, including people whose physical disability means they need skilled support to stay comfortable and well. Having nurses on duty at every hour of the day and night is what lets us look after people properly as their health changes. We manage wound and pressure care, continence and catheter needs, diabetes, pain relief and end of life care, and we work closely with GPs, district nurses and hospital teams so that treatment is joined up rather than fragmented. It also means somebody whose condition worsens can usually stay here, with familiar staff around them, instead of facing another move. Moving and handling is a large part of our work and we take it seriously. Done properly it is unhurried, explained as it happens and carried out with the right equipment, which is what makes the difference between feeling supported and feeling handled. Respite stays are available, including nursing support after a hospital discharge. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Families across Hampshire are welcome to visit.
