About Chandlers Ford Care Home
Chandlers Ford Care Home is a nursing home in Eastleigh, Hampshire, where registered nurses are on duty at all hours alongside our care team. People move to us when their health needs have become more than residential care or support at home can safely meet, and our aim is to look after those needs properly while keeping the day recognisably like life rather than like treatment. We care for older people, for younger adults with nursing needs, and for a good number of people living with dementia. Dementia care here rests on steadiness. Familiar staff, a predictable shape to the day, and rooms that are easy to make sense of do more to settle someone than almost anything else, and we plan around that. Our nursing work covers the management of long term conditions, wound and skin care, continence support, help with eating and drinking where swallowing has become difficult, and close oversight of medication. We work alongside local GPs, district nurses and therapy teams, and we involve families properly in decisions rather than telling them afterwards. Respite stays are available as well as permanent places, including for people who need skilled care for a period after a stay in hospital. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. You are very welcome to visit and see the home for yourself.
