About Saintbridge House Nursing and Residential Home
We are Saintbridge House Nursing and Residential Home in Gloucester. We provide nursing and residential care for older people, including those living with dementia and people with a physical disability, and we take respite stays. Offering both kinds of care in one place has a practical advantage. Somebody who comes to us needing residential support and whose health later becomes more complicated does not have to move somewhere new at exactly the point when a move is hardest. They stay where they are, with the staff and surroundings they know, and the level of care changes around them. Dementia care takes up much of our attention. Knowing somebody's history, their working life and what they were proud of tells us how to reach them on a difficult morning better than any general technique. When a resident is distressed there is nearly always a cause, and it is more often practical than people expect. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is outstanding. We are pleased with it, though what matters more is that an inspector's visit should catch an ordinary day here rather than a special one.
