About Lilleybrook Care Home
We are Lilleybrook Care Home, a nursing home in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. We provide nursing care for older people, including those living with dementia, and we also take respite stays. Because qualified nurses are here at every hour, a change in somebody's health is noticed by people who already know them and acted on without delay. It also means a resident does not have to move when their condition becomes more complicated, and that care at the end of life can be given here, among familiar faces, when that is what a person and their family want. Dementia care takes up much of our attention, and we approach it by trying to understand the person rather than the condition. Somebody's history, their working life, what they were proud of and what they would never have put up with tells us how to reach them on a difficult morning. When a resident is distressed there is nearly always a reason, and it is more often practical than people expect. Alongside that we work at keeping life here ordinary, with own routines, own belongings, meals worth sitting down to and visitors who do not need to arrange it first. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
