About Badgeworth Court Care Centre
Badgeworth Court Care Centre is a nursing home in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. We provide nursing care for older people and for younger adults whose health needs mean that qualified nurses should be available around the clock. A great many of our residents live with dementia, frequently alongside physical illness or reduced mobility. Caring for both at once is skilled work. It means noticing pain that someone can no longer describe, keeping the surroundings calm and familiar, adjusting how we communicate as needs change, and never treating a person as a set of tasks. We plan care with residents and their families. What someone eats, when they sleep, whether they want company or quiet, and how they like their day to run are all part of that plan. We work closely with GPs, community nurses, therapists and hospital teams so that treatment happens promptly and, where possible, without anyone having to leave the home. Respite stays are available for families needing a break and for people who require nursing support for a short period. At our most recent inspection the Care Quality Commission rated us outstanding. We are proud of it, and we are clear that a rating describes the daily work of the team rather than anything else. If you are looking at nursing care, please come and see us and judge the place for yourself.
