About Jubilee Lodge
Jubilee Lodge in Cheltenham provides nursing care for older people and younger adults, with qualified nurses on duty throughout the day and night. That means health needs are looked after here, by people who know the resident well, rather than by strangers called in at short notice. We support residents living with dementia and people living with a physical disability. Our nursing work covers medication, mobility, nutrition, skin care, pain and comfort, and we watch closely for the quieter changes in appetite, mood and sleep that usually come first. For residents living with dementia we keep the day familiar, work at each person's pace, and treat distress as communication rather than as behaviour to be managed. Residents decide how their days run, rooms are personalised, and relatives are welcome without appointment. Respite stays are available for people needing nursing care for a short period. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is Requires Improvement. We prefer to say that openly rather than let a family come across it later. We took the findings seriously, we have been working through them steadily, and we will talk anyone through the detail. Please come and visit at a normal time of day, meet our nurses and residents, and judge us on what you find.
