About Sovereign Lodge Care Centre
We are a nursing home in Eastbourne, caring for people who need qualified nursing support alongside help with everyday life. Nurses are available at every hour, which means changes in someone's health are spotted and dealt with early, and families can set down a level of responsibility that had often become exhausting. Most of the people who live here are older, and we also care for younger adults whose health needs make nursing care necessary. We support people living with dementia, and we build the day around the person rather than around a schedule: familiar routines kept going, time allowed for things to happen at the right pace, and staff who know somebody well enough to notice a change in mood before it turns into distress. Respite stays are available, whether that is a planned break for a family carer who has been coping at home for a long stretch, or a period of recovery after illness or a hospital admission. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. What matters more to us than the rating is what residents and relatives tell us week by week, and whether we act on it. If you are considering nursing care in Eastbourne, you would be very welcome to visit and see the place for yourself.
