About Gardens Care Home
We are Eastbourne Gardens Care Home, a nursing home in Eastbourne. We care for older people and younger adults who need qualified nursing alongside support with daily living, including people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and people with a visual or hearing impairment. Respite stays are available. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is outstanding. We are proud of that and also clear about what it means. It is not a promise that nothing will ever go wrong here. It reflects the fact that we know the people we care for well, that our nursing and care teams are properly supported, and that when something needs putting right we deal with it rather than explaining it away. In daily life that shows in small ways. People get up and go to bed when they choose. Meals are what somebody actually wants to eat. Nursing needs, from medication to wound care to managing pain, are attended to without the place feeling like a hospital ward. Where access or communication need proper attention, they get it rather than being treated as an afterthought. Families are part of this. Visitors are welcome, relatives are kept informed, and we say plainly when we have made a mistake. Please ring us and come and see the home.
