About Kenilworth Nursing Home
We are Kenilworth Nursing Home in Ealing. We provide nursing care for adults living with dementia and for people managing a mental health condition alongside physical health needs. Having qualified nurses on duty at every hour is what allows us to support people whose needs are complex or changeable. Health problems are noticed early by staff who know the person, treatment starts without waiting for somebody to visit from outside, and families are not left wondering what cover exists overnight. The nursing side is essential but it is not the purpose of the place. People live here, and we work at making that a proper life. Rooms are personalised, people get up and settle when they choose, and meals are something to look forward to rather than an item on a timetable. Dementia care here rests on knowing the individual. We learn about the work somebody did, the family they raised and the routines that steady them, and we use that rather than correcting anybody about the present. We do not argue and we do not reorient. We find what works on a given day and go with it. Relatives are welcome whenever they want to come and we keep them properly informed. We work closely with GPs and community mental health teams. Respite stays are available alongside permanent places. Our most recent CQC overall rating is good. Please contact us to arrange a visit.
