About Acton Care Centre
Acton Care Centre is a nursing home in Ealing. We provide nursing care for older people and younger adults, we support people living with dementia and people with a physical disability, and we offer respite stays alongside permanent places. With nurses on duty at all hours, medication, skin care, nutrition, pain and mobility are managed here, and changes in somebody's health are noticed by people who know how they usually are rather than by a stranger reading a chart. A good deal that would otherwise become a hospital admission is handled in the person's own room. This is a mixed part of London and our residents come from many different backgrounds. Food, language and faith are taken seriously here because they are part of who somebody is, not preferences to be accommodated when the kitchen has time. If a person has eaten a certain way all their life, that is how they should carry on eating with us. We are also careful that the clinical side does not swallow the day. People are helped to dress properly, to eat well, to get outside and to see whoever they want at whatever hour suits. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are considering nursing care in this part of London, come and visit us.
