About Moors Manor Care Home
Moors Manor is a nursing home in Ringwood, Dorset, caring for people whose health needs require nursing as well as everyday support. Having qualified nurses on the team alongside our care staff means that residents do not have to move on each time their health changes. We support older adults with ongoing conditions, managing medication, nutrition, skin care, pain and comfort, and helping with washing, dressing and mobility in a way that leaves as much as possible in the resident's own hands. We keep in close touch with GPs and community health teams, because good nursing care depends on everybody knowing what the others have done. Dementia care is central to our work, and it is built on familiar faces, a settled routine and taking the trouble to learn what reassures a particular person. We also care for younger adults whose conditions require nursing support, and we plan around their own interests rather than the pattern that suits the majority. Respite stays are available, giving families a planned break or providing additional support after a hospital discharge. Above all we want this to feel like a home rather than a ward: proper meals, real conversation and staff who know people as people. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Do come and see us and ask us anything.
