About Lime Tree House
Lime Tree House is a nursing home in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. We support older people and younger adults whose needs include nursing care, including adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people managing mental health conditions and people with physical disabilities. We also offer respite stays. Having nursing knowledge in the building matters particularly for people with learning disabilities, whose physical health problems are too often attributed to their disability rather than investigated. Somebody here is watching for the health issue behind a change in behaviour rather than simply managing the behaviour. A mixed household asks a great deal of a staff team, and we would rather be honest about that than present it as effortless. It means we cannot run one routine and expect it to suit everybody, so we work out individually what a good day looks like for each person. The clinical side is only part of a day and usually the smaller part. The rest is meals people want, help without a long wait, privacy, company, and being treated as somebody with a history rather than a diagnosis. Our overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Come and find out whether the place feels calm, because that is not something we can promise in writing.
