About Villa Maria Private Nursing Home
Villa Maria is a private nursing home in South Croydon. As a nursing home we can look after people whose health needs go beyond what a residential setting can safely manage, with qualified nurses on duty alongside our care staff so that clinical and everyday care are held by one team who know the resident well. We care for older adults with ongoing conditions, managing medication, nutrition, skin care, pain and comfort, and helping with washing, dressing and moving about in a way that leaves people doing whatever they still can for themselves. We work closely with GPs and community health teams so that nothing falls between services, and we pay attention to the quiet signs of change, because people do not always say when they feel unwell. We also support residents with physical disabilities, adapting how we assist with mobility so that dignity is protected, and younger adults whose conditions require nursing support, planning their days around their own interests. Respite stays are available, giving families a planned break or extra support after a hospital discharge. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Families are welcome at any reasonable hour, and we would always rather hear about a worry while it is still a small one.
