About Haling Park Care Home
Haling Park Care Home is a nursing home in South Croydon. We provide nursing and personal care to older people and to younger adults, including people living with dementia, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and people with a visual or hearing impairment. People usually arrive here at a difficult moment, often straight from hospital, often after a period when things at home had become unmanageable. Our first job is to steady that. We take time to learn how someone was living before, what they can still do and want to keep doing, and what has frightened them recently, because a settled person recovers better than an anxious one. Our nursing team looks after the clinical side properly, from medication and wound care through to mobility, nutrition and the management of complex long term conditions, and we work closely with GPs, district nurses and hospital teams. Alongside that runs the ordinary business of living well, which includes food worth eating, company, fresh air and being treated as an adult with opinions. We offer respite and recovery stays as well as longer arrangements. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good, and we are glad to show families around before they decide anything.
