About Telford Court Nursing Home
We are Telford Court Nursing Home in Crewe, Cheshire East. As a nursing home we have registered nurses on duty at all hours, so we are able to care for older people and younger adults with complex health needs, including those living with dementia, with mental health conditions, with physical disabilities and with sight or hearing loss. We also take respite bookings. The clinical side of our work is careful and unshowy: medicines managed properly, skin and pressure areas watched closely, mobility supported, eating and drinking encouraged, pain noticed and treated. We work with local GPs, district nurses, dietitians and specialist teams so that problems are picked up early rather than at crisis point. Alongside that we work hard at the ordinary things, because they are what make a place liveable. People choose when they get up, what they wear and how they spend the day. Familiar objects, photographs and furniture come with people into their rooms. Families visit when they wish and are welcome to be involved in care as much or as little as suits them. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We treat that as a description of a moment rather than a permanent state, and we audit our own practice regularly. If nursing care in the Crewe area is something you are weighing up, please come and visit us, meet the nursing team and ask whatever you need to ask.
