About Partridge House Nursing and Residential Care Home
We are a nursing and residential home in Brighton, caring for older people and for younger adults who need nursing support, including people living with dementia. We also welcome people for respite stays, whether that is planned in advance so a family carer can have a break, or arranged more quickly after an illness or a spell in hospital. Having both nursing and residential care in one place matters more than it might sound. It means that when somebody's health changes they do not automatically have to move somewhere new, at the point in life when moving is hardest. Continuity of place, and of the faces around you, is worth a great deal. For people living with dementia we try to keep the shape of the day steady and the approach unhurried. Much of what looks like difficult behaviour is a person trying to communicate something, and staff who know somebody well are far better placed to work out what that something is. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Families are welcome here and we would always encourage you to visit before making any decision. Brighton is a city people are attached to, and many of our residents have lived here most of their lives. Please contact us and we will arrange a time for you to come and see us.
