About Grove Park
Grove Park is a nursing home in Brighton. We care for older people who need nursing support, including those living with dementia and those living with mental ill health, people with a physical disability, people with visual or hearing impairment, younger adults and people affected by alcohol or drug misuse. Respite stays are available too. Registered nurses are here day and night, so clinical needs are met in the home rather than through repeated hospital trips. Wound care, catheters, diabetes, pain relief and the gradual changes that come with long term conditions are managed by people who know the person. Supporting such a mixed group means there is no single way of running the place, and we do not pretend otherwise. Some residents want a very structured day. Others need the opposite. We work without judgement, which matters particularly for people who have struggled with addiction or who have a long history of mental ill health and who often arrive expecting to be treated as a problem. Most of good nursing care is small things done reliably. Pressure care attended to on time. Mouth care not skipped. Someone sitting with a person who is frightened in the night. Where sight, hearing or mobility is affected, we adapt the practical side properly rather than leaving people to cope. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please come and visit Grove Park.
