We work with older people and with younger adults, and our packages range from one short call a day to substantial support built around complex needs. The range of people we support is wide. It takes in people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people managing mental health conditions including eating disorders, people with physical disabilities, people with sight or hearing loss, and people whose lives have been affected by alcohol or drug misuse. Working across that range depends on assessing each person carefully and never assuming that a diagnosis tells us what someone wants from us. Visits cover personal care, medication, meals, shopping, household tasks and company. Where someone is working towards more independence, we build the plan around that rather than doing everything for them out of habit. We plan for continuity of carer, train staff for the needs of the people they will actually visit, and supervise them properly once they are in post.
