About Forget Me Not Care
Forget Me Not Care supports people in their own homes in Westbury and across this part of Wiltshire. We work with older people, people living with dementia, adults with a physical disability and people with visual or hearing impairment. We have kept our focus fairly narrow on purpose. Doing a smaller number of things properly beats spreading ourselves thin, and dementia care in particular rewards experience and patience. Depending on what is needed, our support could be one call each morning to help somebody wash, dress and get the day started, several visits a day covering personal care, medication, meals and company, or a longer sit so a family carer can have a few hours to themselves. With dementia, continuity is not a nice extra. A carer the person recognises, arriving at roughly the time they expect, who already knows how they take their tea and what helps when they are anxious, achieves far more in half an hour than a stranger could in twice that. We plan rotas around this rather than treating it as a bonus. Where sight or hearing is reduced, we adapt how we communicate and keep things where the person expects to find them. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please ring us to talk things through.
