About Support At Home Service
We provide care in people's own homes across Wiltshire, working from Trowbridge. Our support is for older people and for younger adults whose care needs sit alongside work, study and family life. What that looks like varies a great deal from one household to the next. For one person it is a call first thing to help with washing, dressing and breakfast, and that single visit is what makes the rest of the day workable. For another it is several visits, or longer stretches so that nobody is alone for hours at a time. For a younger adult it may be support that deliberately stays in the background so that ordinary life carries on. Working across a largely rural county shapes how we do things. Distances are real and the weather counts for something, and people often know one another, which makes it far more obvious when somebody is not quite themselves. Before anything starts we come out and talk, and we ask what somebody would rather keep doing for themselves as well as what they want help with. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please get in touch and we will arrange to visit.
