About Safe Care
Safe Care provides home care to people in Trowbridge and across Wiltshire. We support older people, people living with dementia, people managing mental health conditions, people with a physical disability, people with a visual or hearing impairment and younger adults. Most enquiries reach us at a difficult moment, often after a fall or when a family arrangement that has been held together for months finally stops working. The first useful thing we can do is take the pressure down and work out what is genuinely needed, which is sometimes less than people fear and sometimes more than they have been prepared to admit. From there we build the visits around the person rather than around our rota, asking what time they actually want to get up, which tasks they want to keep doing themselves, what makes a morning go badly and who should be contacted when something changes. We keep the same carers visiting the same households wherever we can, because a familiar face does work that training cannot substitute for. Where sight or hearing is poor we adapt our communication properly rather than assuming it is fine. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
