Calls range from half an hour in the morning to help somebody wash, dress and get going, through to several visits a day covering medication, meals, safe movement around the house, shopping and appointments. The rooms, the routines, the view from the window and the order things are kept in all do work that no amount of staffing can replicate elsewhere. Our job is to fit into that rather than rearrange it, and to send the same small group of care workers so the faces become familiar too. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission and have not yet been given an overall rating.
