About Visiting Angels Northamptonshire
We are Visiting Angels Northamptonshire, and we provide care in people's own homes across Northampton and West Northamptonshire. Our carers come to people at home, at the times that suit the household, to help with whatever has become difficult. Most of our support is for older people, with washing and dressing, medication, meals, shopping, housework and getting out to appointments or into town. We also support people living with dementia, people with a physical disability, people with sight or hearing loss and younger adults who need help to live independently. Alongside the practical tasks, a good deal of what we do is company, which for someone living alone is not an extra. We put real effort into continuity, sending the same small group of carers to each person so that relationships have a chance to form. That is what makes personal care bearable rather than an ordeal, and it is what lets a carer notice that somebody has stopped eating properly or seems more confused than last week, and pass that on before it becomes a crisis. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission. In place of a rating, we would encourage you to ask us direct questions about recruitment, training, supervision, what happens when a visit runs late and who you can reach out of hours. We are happy to answer them and to visit you at home with no obligation.
