About The Cube Disability
The Cube Disability supports people in their own homes in Northampton and the surrounding area. Our work is mainly with adults who have a learning disability and with autistic adults, and we also support older people who want help to carry on living independently. Our starting point is that the person is in charge of their own life and we are there to make it work. Support is planned with them, in a form they understand, and it is built around what they want to be doing rather than around a list of tasks. That might mean help to keep a tenancy going, to cook, shop and manage money, to get to work, college or the clubs and activities they enjoy, to keep on top of health appointments, or to have somebody steady alongside them in situations they find difficult. Communication is where we put most of our care. Where somebody does not use speech, we learn how they do tell us what they want and make sure every member of their team knows it. Keeping teams small and consistent follows from the same thinking. Where a person wants to need us less over time, we treat that as the aim and plan for it openly. At our most recent inspection the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. Please get in touch to talk things through.
