About Supportive Health
Supportive Health is a home care agency covering Northampton and the wider West Northamptonshire area. We support people in their own homes, from older people who need a little help to keep their independence to younger adults who are working out how to live the life they want with the right backing in place. Our work includes support for people living with dementia, people with mental health needs and people with physical disabilities. Calls range from brief visits for personal care or medication through to longer periods of support at home, help with meals and household routines, and assistance to get out into the community, to appointments, to work or to see people. We start by listening. Before any care begins we sit down with the person, and with family if they want them there, and build a plan around what they are trying to achieve rather than around a standard list of tasks. We review it honestly as things change, and we are straightforward about what we can and cannot provide. Reliability is the part people judge us on, so we concentrate on it. Turning up on time, sending carers who already know the person, and ringing ahead when traffic or an emergency delays us. The Care Quality Commission has not yet published an overall rating for us. We are registered with them and inspected against their standards. If you would like to discuss support in Northampton, please contact us and we will arrange to visit.
