About Richmond Village DCA
We provide care at home in Northampton, supporting older people and younger adults, including people with physical disabilities. Much of our work is with people living in their own flats and houses who need a hand to carry on doing so comfortably. That may be help with washing and dressing, support with medication, a hand with meals and the house, assistance to move about safely, or the kind of regular contact that means somebody is never left to cope alone with a difficult day. Because we see people where they already live, we notice things no assessment would record: that the post has not been opened, that somebody is eating less, that a person who usually chats has gone quiet. We take continuity seriously. The same familiar staff visiting means somebody does not have to keep explaining themselves, and it means we notice early when a person is unwell, in pain or low in spirits. Where mobility is affected, the detail of how a person prefers to be helped matters a great deal, and we aim to do only as much of a task as is actually needed. Our staff are trained for the needs they are asked to meet and have senior colleagues they can turn to. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. If you would like to know more about the support we offer, please get in touch.
