About Norton Nurses
Norton Nurses is a home care agency supporting adults across Northampton in their own homes. The people we visit include older people who need help to keep managing at home, adults living with dementia, people living with mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, people with a visual or hearing impairment and younger adults who need support to live independently. Our visits cover personal care, prompting and support with medication, meals, laundry, shopping and help to get out to appointments or simply out of the house for a while. For some people a single short call a day is enough. Others need several longer visits, and needs tend to change over time, so we review things properly rather than letting a care plan go stale. Two things get most of our attention. One is continuity, because being met by a familiar person is worth a great deal and is close to essential for somebody living with dementia. The other is time. Care delivered against a stopwatch is not care, and hurrying somebody who is frail is both undignified and unsafe. We are guests in the homes we work in, and we expect staff to behave accordingly and to tell us plainly when something has changed or gone wrong. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please get in touch if you are looking for support at home in Northampton.
