About Horizons Care
We are Horizons Care, based in Northampton, and we provide care in people's own homes across the area. We support older people, including many living with dementia, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss, and younger adults. Every arrangement begins with a conversation in the person's own home. How does the day run now? What has become difficult? What do you still want to do for yourself, and where would help genuinely help? From those answers we agree the visits, and we expect to revise them as circumstances move. Support might be a short call in the morning, a prompt and a check with medication, a meal cooked and eaten with company, help getting safely about the house, or several calls a day. We should be straightforward about our position. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We have looked carefully at what was raised and putting those points right is where our attention is concentrated now. We would rather tell you that ourselves and be asked about it than have you find it later. Alongside that, the things we work hardest at are the ones people actually notice: sending the same carers to the same households, arriving when we said we would, and telling families promptly when something has to change. If you would like to talk about support for yourself or a relative, please ring us and ask us anything.
