Our purpose is to make it possible for people to stay in their own houses, with support that turns up reliably and at the times agreed. Most of the people we visit are older and need help with the practical business of the day: washing and dressing, meals, medication, laundry and keeping the house in order. We support people living with dementia, where familiar carers and a steady routine matter more than almost anything else we could provide. We also work with people who have a physical disability, including safe support with moving and transfers, and with younger adults needing help to live independently. Timekeeping is not a detail. If somebody needs help to get up, a late call costs them an hour of their morning, so we plan our rounds realistically and we tell families when something changes rather than leaving them to wonder. Care starts with a home visit and a proper conversation about what is needed, what the person would rather do themselves and what family are already covering.
