About Marieco Care
Marieco Care provides support at home to adults in Waltham Forest and the surrounding parts of east London. The people we work with include older people who need help to stay in their own houses, adults living with dementia, people with a learning disability, autistic adults, people living with mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, people with a visual or hearing impairment and younger adults who need support to live independently. What an older person needs first thing in the morning has very little in common with what an autistic adult running their own household wants from us, and we plan and staff accordingly. The practical work covers personal care, support and prompting with medication, meals, household tasks, shopping and help to get out to appointments or into town. Alongside it sits noticing, which appears on no schedule but keeps people out of hospital more often than anything else we do. This is a varied part of London and the people we support come from many different backgrounds, which shapes practical things such as food and language.
