We are a reablement provider working in people's own homes in Reigate and across east Surrey. Reablement is a particular kind of support and it is worth being clear about what it means. Rather than taking over tasks indefinitely, we work with somebody for a short period, usually after illness, a fall or a stay in hospital, with the aim of helping them get back to managing as much as possible for themselves. In practice that means starting alongside the person rather than doing things for them, building up what they can manage safely, arranging equipment or adaptations where those would help and reviewing progress often.
