About Bright Care
We are Bright Care Cranleigh, and we provide care in people's own homes across Cranleigh and the surrounding parts of Surrey. Our work is with older people, including a great many living with dementia. We have kept our focus deliberately narrow. Supporting older people well, and supporting people living with dementia in particular, is a skill in itself, and we would rather do that properly than spread ourselves across every kind of care there is. It means our carers are trained for what they actually meet, and it means we tend to notice things early that a less experienced team might miss. Every arrangement begins with a conversation in the person's own home. How does the day run now? What has become difficult? What do you still want to do for yourself, and where would a hand actually help? From those answers we agree the visits, which might be one short call, several a day, or a longer stretch so that a relative caring full time can get out of the house properly. With dementia, familiarity does more good than any technique we could name, so continuity of staff is the thing we work at hardest. We also try to keep families closely involved, because relatives usually understand what a particular worry or habit is really about long before we would work it out.
