About Deecays Health Care
Deecays Health Care supports people in their own homes across Chertsey and the surrounding parts of Surrey. We work with older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, and people with a physical disability. Most people who contact us have reached a point where parts of the day have become hard work, but they are nowhere near wanting to leave home. That is the gap we work in. We look at what has actually become difficult, agree what would shift it, and leave the rest alone. Independence is not preserved by doing things for people who can still manage them themselves. Visits cover personal care, support with medication, meals and drinks, help with the house and the shopping, and support to get out to appointments or into town. The pattern is agreed with the person, and with family where they want that, and revisited as circumstances change. We work hard to send the same carers to the same households. It matters for dignity, and it matters practically, because somebody familiar notices a change days before a stranger would. The Care Quality Commission has not yet issued an overall rating for us. We are happy to answer questions about how we recruit, train and supervise our carers, and about what happens when a family raises a concern.
