About Unite Healthcare
We are Unite Healthcare, based in Prescot and supporting people in their own homes across St Helens and the surrounding area. We work with older people and people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, people with a physical disability or a visual or hearing impairment, and younger adults who want to live independently with support in place. Nothing begins with a brochure. It begins with a visit and an honest conversation about what has become hard, what is still manageable and what would genuinely make a difference. From that we agree a plan together, which might be a single morning call or several visits a day covering personal care, medication, meals and the running of the household. We protect continuity rather than simply hoping for it. Sending the same carers to the same people is better care by any measure, and it is what allows somebody to relax enough to accept help with the more personal things or to mention a worry they have been keeping quiet. Our carers are trained for the specific work they are sent to do and are supervised properly. We keep in contact with district nurses, GPs and social workers where they are involved, and we tell families when something changes. Our most recent CQC overall rating is good. Please ring us if you would like to discuss care at home.
