About Nurseline Community Services

We are Nurseline Community, a home care agency working across Bristol and South Gloucestershire. We provide care and support to adults in their own homes and in their communities. Much of our work is with adults who have learning disabilities or are autistic, with people living with mental health conditions, and with people managing an eating disorder. We also support older people, people with physical disabilities and younger adults who want help to live independently. Those are quite different kinds of work, and we would rather acknowledge that than pretend a single approach suits them all. We begin with the life somebody wants and work back to the support that would make it possible. That might be personal care and help with medication, or it might be cooking, managing money and appointments, or support to get to work, college or a regular group. Where change is difficult for somebody, we keep things predictable and prepare carefully for anything unusual. We also take positive risk seriously. Being cautious on somebody else's behalf is easier for us and usually much worse for them, so decisions get talked through with the person and the people who know them well.
