About Cambrian Green Court

We provide care at home for people living in our extra care housing in South Gloucestershire, supporting older people and younger adults. Everybody here has their own flat with their own front door, and the care comes to them rather than the other way round. That arrangement does a great deal of good. A person can have a very small amount of help or a great deal of it without moving, and as needs change we change what we provide rather than talking about a move elsewhere. What we actually do depends on the person: help with washing and dressing, support with medication, a hand with meals and the house, assistance to move about safely, or simply somebody looking in at a regular time. Because we are on site, we see people as they go about their day, and we notice the small things that no assessment would record: that the post has not been opened, that somebody is eating less, that a person who usually chats has gone quiet. We keep staffing as settled as we can, since knowing people properly is most of what makes this work. At our most recent inspection the Care Quality Commission rated us outstanding overall.
