About Care with Patience

Care with Patience provides care and support in people's own homes across the South Gloucestershire side of Bristol. We work with older adults, younger adults, people with physical disabilities, people with loss of sight or hearing, people managing mental health conditions, and people working through difficulties with alcohol or drugs. Where somebody is managing a mental health condition or working through difficulties with alcohol or drugs, consistency and an absence of judgement matter more than any particular technique. We turn up when we said we would, we do not lecture, and we stay involved when things are difficult rather than only when they are going well. A great many people in those situations have been let down before, and rebuilding that trust takes time and reliability rather than good intentions. The practical support covers personal care, medication, meals and drinks, shopping, getting out of the house, household tasks and company. For people with loss of sight or hearing we adapt how we communicate and how we announce ourselves. We keep the same carers with the same households as far as the rota allows, and revise plans when circumstances change. Please contact us if you would like to talk about support at home.
