About Leaf Complex Care Midlands
We provide complex care at home across Birmingham, Solihull and the Midlands. The people we support include older people and younger adults, adults with learning disabilities, autistic people, people living with mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, people with visual or hearing impairments, people living with eating disorders and people whose difficulties involve alcohol or drugs. A good deal of our work involves people whose needs are substantial, where the alternative to support at home would be a move away from everything familiar. That calls for careful planning rather than good intentions: the right number of hours at the right times, staff trained for the particular needs involved, and proper attention to medication, moving about safely, eating and drinking and the early signs that somebody is becoming unwell. Where support is complex, a worker who knows the person is worth a great deal more than one who is simply available, and families should not have to explain the whole picture to a new face each week. So we keep teams as settled as we can, and we agree arrangements with the person rather than handing them a plan. Our staff are trained for the needs they are asked to meet and can reach senior colleagues at any time. We do not yet hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission and are glad to discuss that openly. If you are looking for support of this kind, please get in touch.
