About Active Care In The Home – North - Complex Care

Active Care In The Home provides care and complex care support in people's own homes, working across Wolverhampton and into Shropshire. We support older people, adults living with dementia, people with learning disabilities and autistic adults, those living with mental ill health, adults with physical disabilities, people with sight or hearing loss and younger adults. Complex care asks more of a team than ordinary home support. It means staff trained for specific clinical needs, clear plans agreed with health professionals, and enough continuity that the people coming through the door know exactly what they are doing rather than reading it off a page. We build the staff team around the individual for that reason, and we introduce anyone new properly before they work alone. For everything else, the fundamentals still decide quality. Arriving when we said. Sending familiar faces. Doing what was agreed and speaking up quickly when something changes. We plan our rotas around what we can genuinely honour, including the travel involved in covering a spread out area. Family carers are often doing a great deal already, and we try to fit around what they want rather than take over. We do not currently hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. We are glad to talk through training, supervision and how we handle things when they go wrong. Please call us and ask.
