About Bethphage

We are Bethphage Shrewsbury, and we provide support to adults in their own homes in Shrewsbury and across Shropshire. We work with people whose needs vary a great deal, and we build the support around the individual rather than fitting them into something we already run. We support adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people living with mental ill health, people with physical disabilities and people living with sight or hearing loss. We also support older people who need help to carry on living at home, including those living with dementia, and many younger adults who are working out how to run a household of their own. In practice that can mean personal care, medication, cooking, shopping, budgeting, keeping a tenancy going and getting to appointments. Just as often it means helping somebody do the things that make a week worth having, whether that is work, volunteering, a course, a club or seeing friends and family. Our aim is to work out what each person can do, what they want to learn and where they genuinely need us, and then to step back wherever stepping back is right. We pay close attention to how people communicate and we record what works so that it is not lost when the rota changes. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please get in touch if you would like to know more.
