About Bluebird Care
Bluebird Care Oswestry supports adults in their own homes in Oswestry and the surrounding part of Shropshire. We work with older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities, and people who have sight or hearing loss. Staying at home usually depends on a small number of practical things going right, so those are what we concentrate on. Help with washing and dressing, medicines taken as they should be, proper meals rather than whatever is easiest, the housework kept under control, the shopping done, and a way of getting out to appointments and to see people. We fit visits around the person's day rather than around ours. Continuity is something we take seriously. Meeting an unfamiliar care worker at the door is unsettling for anybody and particularly so for somebody living with dementia, so we build a small team around each person and let you know in advance when that has to change. Where somebody has sight or hearing loss, we learn how they prefer to be approached and spoken with. We plan the support with the person and, where they want it, with their family, and we look at the plan again whenever circumstances shift. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Timekeeping, continuity and well trained staff are what keep it that way.
