About Oxford Aunts
Oxford Aunts provides care in people's own homes in Witney and across Oxfordshire. We visit older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and people whose sight or hearing has changed. Our starting point is that somebody's home is their own and we are guests in it. The support we give should make daily life work better without taking it over. For many people that means help at the start and end of the day with washing, dressing, medication and meals. For others it is help with shopping, appointments and the running of a household, or company and a check that all is well. We put a great deal of thought into who we send. Care at home only works when the person receiving it is comfortable with the people coming through the door, so we introduce staff properly, keep teams consistent and listen when somebody tells us an arrangement is not working. That consistency is also practical. Familiar carers know what normal looks like for a person and notice quickly when it changes, which is often what keeps a small difficulty from becoming something serious. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are weighing up support at home for yourself or a relative, get in touch and we will talk it through properly and without pressure.
