About Caretree
Caretree provides support at home to adults in Abingdon and across Oxfordshire. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is outstanding. What lies behind that is fairly unglamorous: carers who stay long enough to know the people they visit, visits long enough to do the job without rushing, and a willingness to hear plainly when something is not right so that it can be put right. The people we work with include older people who need help to stay in their own houses, adults living with dementia, people living with mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, younger adults who need support to live independently, people living with an eating disorder and people dealing with alcohol or drug misuse. That breadth only works because support is built around the individual. A morning call to help an older person wash and dress has almost nothing in common with supporting somebody through recovery, and we assess properly, agree the support with the person, and change it when their circumstances change. Some of the areas we work in carry real stigma, and people have often had more experience of being judged than helped. We try to be straightforward and useful instead. Please get in touch if you are arranging care at home locally.
